Support Chip and the Book of Rose Leaves!

I've really been looking forward to this Saturday Spotlight post and shining a light on Alexandria Miracola's coming story, Chip and the Book of Rose Leaves.

I've always had an obsession with the kind of whimsy that turns back the clock. That magical feeling you get in the spring that makes you feel like a little kid, those stories that bring out the child in you . . . just when you think it may already be snuffed out. That magic—that wonder—is Alexandria Miracola's gift.

Chip and the Book of Rose Leaves is a hand-bound, beautifully illustrated tale of a curious young rabbit named Chip and an adventure that begins in Everleaf Forest. A curious young rabbit asking the oh-so-important question: Do our prayers really matter to God?

And here's the best part, y'all:

This story is COLOURABLE.

That's right. Alexandria Miracola does the fine, skillful work of penning the illustrations, but bringing the story to life through colour is left to us, the readers—little ones and big.

The Kickstarter for this magical story is live right now and will be for another two weeks! If you're not convinced yet, keep reading for my top three reasons to support this project in whatever way you can.

  1. ~The author herself is a beautiful person using her gifts to share God's truth. I can't overstate how much these creators need our support. They are doing such important work and can't do it alone.

  2. ~Not only is the answer to Chip's question infinitely important for kids, but it's these stories of wonder that help sow seeds of faith in young hearts early on. Need I say more?

  3. ~I had the honour of colouring one of Alexandria's illustrations, and y'all, it was fabulous. Beautifully drawn, and so inspiring to colour, no matter your age. I can't wait to colour the rest!

Check out the Kickstarter here, and please consider helping Alexandria Miracola and Chip on their way!
